County, and that the Annexed printed copy is a true

a period of ONE INSERTION commencing on 10

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a
Primary Election to nominate
candidates to be voted for the
General Election to be held on the
Tuesday following the first Monday
of November, 1999, will be held in
Cowlitz County, State of
Washington, on the 14th day of
September, 1999, which is the
second Tuesday. This Primary
Election will be conducted by mail

Registration -
NOTICE IS-,HEREBY GIVEN,
pursuant to the provisions of R.C.W.
29.07.160. that all precincts within
the boundaries of Cowlitz County,
Washington, will be closed for
original registration of voters for the
Primary Election and for transfer of
registrations from one precinct to
another precinct within Cowlitz
County, on the 15th day of August,
1999. said day being thirty (30) days
prior to Tuesday, September 14,
1999, which is the date set for the
_Primary Election in Cowlitz County.
Saturday, August 14, 1999, is the last
day voters residing within the
boundaries of Cowlitz County will be
permitted to register or transfer prior
to said Elections..
WITH THE EXCEPTION that,
pursuant to the provisions of R.C.W.
29.07.152. voter registration is
possible during the period between
August 16, 1999, and August 30,
1999: but persons doing so must
register in person in the County
Auditor's office and will be allowed
to vote an absentee ballot thereat.
