WHEREAS, the money in and to be paid into the General Fund of the Toutle Lake School District No. 130, Toutle, Washington, during the 1999 -00, 2000 -01 and 2001 -02 school years will be insufficient to enable the District to operate on a sound financial basis and properly meet the educational needs of students attending the District: and WHEREAS, it is necessary to ask the voters of the district to provide through a special levy election, the funds necessary to carry on a desirable educational program. That a special election be held in the aforesaid school district between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on the 2nd day of February , 1999, for the purpose of submitting to the electors of said school district, for their approval or rejection, the question of whether or not a three -year proposition shall be approved calling for a special levy of an estimated $ 2.88 per one - thousand dollars of assessed valuation within the district for the purpose of providing $ 650,000 to be collected in 2000, an estimated $ 2.99 per one - thousand dollars of assessed valuation within the district for the purpose of providing $ 675,000 to be collected in 2001 and an estimated $ 3.10 per one- thousand dollars of assessed valuation within the district for the purpose of providing $ 700,000 to be collected in 2002 for the General Fund of the district to be used for operational expenses. Section I. That the "ballot title" of the General Fund Proposition shall be as follows: MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS LEVY PROPOSITION 1 For maintenance and operations purposes, shall Toutle Lake School District No. 130 be authorized to levy excess taxes for three consecutive years, as follows: (a) to collect $ 650,000 in 2000, at an approximate tax rate of S 2.88 per one - thousand dollars of assessed valuation, and (b) to collect $ 675,000 in 2001, at an approximate tax rate of S 2.99 per one - thousand dollars of assessed valuation, and (c) to collect $ 700,000 in 2002, at an approximate tax rate of $ 3.10 per one - thousand dollars of assessed valuation?
