Tuesday, February 2, 1982
The undersigned, being the officers designated by law as and consti-
tuting the canvassing board of the Special Election of Carrolls School Dis -o
trict No. 118, in Cowlitz County, Washington, hereby certify that the follow-
ing is a true and correct copy and canvass of the votes polled in the precinct
within the Carrolls School District No. 118 at the Special Election held on
Tuesday, February 2, 1982, as taken from the official return, and that said
return contains the proposition voted upon in said Special Election with the
number of votes received "Proposition No.1,Yes" and "Proposition No. 1, No ";
and that the total number of votes cast on said Proposition was 202.
The following is the Proposition voted upon:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
Maintenance and Operation Levy
Shall Carrolls School District No. 118, Cowlitz County,
Washington, authorize the County Commissioners of Cowlitz
County to levy in the year 1982 as part of the tax to be
collected in 1983 the sum of $88,400 which will require
approximately $3.58 per each $1,000.00 of assessed valua-
tion of the aforesaid District, based upon an assessment
ratio of 100% of true and fair value, said tax levy to be
in addition to the maximum levy provided by law for such
District, the proceeds thereof to be placed in the General
Fund and used for Maintenance and Operations

It being necessary to have 101 votes cast on the Proposition to consti-
tute forty percent (40 %) of the total votes cast in the last State General
Election held in the County of Cowlitz, and there having been a sufficient number
of votes cast; but less than sixty percent (60 %) of the total votes cast having
been in favor of Proposition No. 1, IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that Proposition NO. 1,
Maintenance and Operation Levy, FAILED TO PASS.
