ResolutionsSecretary of the Board RESOLUTION NO. 82 -05 WHEREAS, the State of Washington is currently in a state of fiscal turmoil, and WHEREAS, sound fiscal planning for future expenditures is not possible without firm figures of state support to be received, and WHEREAS, it is not currently possible to obtain accurate figures for calculating a two -year Maintenance and Operation Levy, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of Castle Rock School District No. 401 does hereby withdraw and cancel its request for a Special School Election for a two -year Maintenance and Operation Levy as previously adopted through Resolution No. 82 -02, said Resolution dated September 14, 1981. BOARD OF DIRECTORS CASTLE ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 401 COWLITZ COUNTY, WASHINGTON 177e,iu „t_&44, Directors RESOLUTION NO. 82 -06 WHEREAS, Castle Rock School District No. 401 currently has no funds available to it in the Building and Capital Projects Fund, and WHEREAS, there are numerous building and grounds improvements that are deemed necessary for the health, comfort and safety of the students and public, and WHEREAS, funds for these improvements are not currently available from any other known source; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Castle Rock School District No. 401, Cowlitz County, Washington: That a Special School Election be held in the aforesaid School District on the 3rd day of November, 1981, for the purpose of submitting to the electors of said School District for their approval or rejection the following proposition: Shall Castle Rock School District No. 401, Cowlitz County, Washington, authorize the Cowlitz County Commissioners to levy in the year 1982 as part of the tax to be collected in 1983 the sum of $ 168,00n_nn which will require approximately $ 1.42 per $1,000.00 of assessed valuation of said School District, based upon an assessment ratio of 100% of true and fair value, said tax levy to be in addition to the maximum levy provided by law for such District, the proceeds thereof to be placed in the Building and Capital Projects Fund and used for the following specific imprrvements, or as many thereof as may be covered by the funds available: 1. Purchase and installation of seating facilities for the high school athletic field. 2. Completion of restoration of the high school softball and baseball fields. 3. Acquisition and installation of a covered play area for the elementary school playground. 4. Resurfacing of the parking and driveway areas of the elementary schools and the high school. Which shall be submitted to the electors of said School District for their approval or rejection in the form of the following Ballot Title: PROPOSITION NO. 8 / Excess Levy for Building Fund Purposes Shall a Special Tax Levy of $ 168,000.nn , an estimated $Z per $1,000.00 of assessed valuation for 1982 -83 Castle Rock School Dist. No. 401 Building and Capital Projects Fund be approved: Yes No The Clerk of the aforesaid School District is hereby directed to immediately transmit to the Cowlitz County Auditor a copy of the Resolution, duly signed and attested, by which the Cowlitz County Auditor is hereby requested to take all procedural steps necessary and /or required by law to the end that this proposition shall be submitted to the voters of said School District. The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the aforesaid School District on September 28, 1981, at which it set the amount of $ 168.000.00, and reaffirmed the date of November 3, 1981, as set at a regular meeting of the Board of Directors held on September 14, 1981.
