Due to the fact that the State is going to release some information on September 22 with regard to the levy lid, we would like to insert the amount after the State meets on September 22nd. Box 218 Castl• Rock, Washington 98611 September 15, 1981 WHEREAS, the funds available for the Castle Rock School District No. 401, through presently scheduled programs are insufficient to meet the needs of the District, and WHEREAS, school districts are authorized special levies by a vote of the resident electors of the District, and WHEREAS, the necessary funds are not available through any other known source; Yes NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Castle Rock School District No. 401, Cowlitz County, Washington: That a Special School Election be held in the aforesaid School District on the 3rd day of November, 1981, for the purpose of submitting to the electors of said School District for their approval or rejection the following proposition: Shall Castle Rock School District No. 401, Cowlitz County, Washington, authorize the County Commissioners of Cowlitz County to levy in the year 1982 as part of the tax to be collected in 1983 the sum of $ which will require - approximately $ per each $1,000.00 of assessed valuation , and levy in the year 1983 as part of the tax to be collected in 1984 the sum of $ which will require approximately $ per each $1,000.00 of assessed valuation of the aforesaid District, based upon an assessment ratio of 100% of true and fair value, said tax levy to be in addition to the maximum levy provided by law for such District, the proceeds therof to be placed in the General Fund and used for Maintenanee Which shall be submitted to the electors of said School District for their approval or rejection in the form of the following Ballot Title: c2L,Q7 Atr Secretary to the Board RESOLUTION NO. 82 -02 PROPOSITION NO. 1 Excess Levy for General Fund Purposes Shall a Special Tax Levy of $ , an estimated $ per each $1,000.00 of assessed valuation for 1982 -83 and $ , an estimated $ per each $1,000.00 of assessed valuation for 1983 -84 Castle Rock School District No. 401 Maintenance and Operation be approved: No / / The Clerk of the aforesaid School District is herby directed to immediately transmit to the Cowlitz County Auditor a copy of this Resolution, duly signed and attested, by which the Cowlitz County Auditor is hereby requested to take all procedural steps necessary and /or required by law to the end that this proposition shall be submitted to the voters of said School District. The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the aforesaid School District on the 14th day of September, 1981. Acquisition and installation of a covered play area for the elementary school playground. 4. Resurfacing of the parking and driveway areas of the elementary schools and the high school. Which shall be submitted to the electors of said School District for their approval or rejection in the form of the following Ballot Title: PROPOSITION NO. 2 Excess Levy for Building Fund Purposes Shall a Special Tax Levy of $ , an estimated $ per $1,000.00 of assessed valuation for 1982 -83 Castle Rock School District No. 401 Building and Capital Projects Fund be approved: Secretary of the Board YES NO RESOLUTION NO.. 82 -03 The Clerk of the aforesaid School District is hereby directed to immediately transmit to the Cowlitz County Auditor a copy of the Resolution, duly signed and attested, by which the Cowlitz County Auditor is hereby requested to take all procedural steps necessary and /or required by law to the end that this propositon shall be submitted to the voters of said School District. The foregoing resolution was adopted at a ragular meeting of the Board of Directors of the aforesaid School District on the 14th day of September, 1981. BOARD OF DIRECTORS, CASTLE ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 401 COWLITZ COUNTY, WASHIN TON 1 ? / ;ems Directors WHEREAS, Castle Rock School District No. 401 is attempting to plan for current and future building needs, and WHEREAS, the present Junior High School Building is inadequate for current and projected future needs, and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Castle Rock School District No. 401 wishes to know the majority opinion of the electors of the school district relating to the question of replacement vs. remodeling, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED; by the Board of Directors of Castle Rock School District No. 401, Cowlitz County, Washington: That a Special School Advisory Election be held in the aforesaid School District on the 3rd day of November, 1981, for the purpose of submitting to the electors of said School District for their advisory opinion the following survey vote: In your opinion, should the Castle Rock School District plan to build a new building on school land east of the existing elementary schools to replace the existing Junior High School Building, or Should the Castle Rock School District plan to remodel and expand the existing Junior High Building and bring it up to current building code standards, or Which shall be submitted to the electors of said School District for their advisory vote in the form of the following Ballot Title: BUILDING ADVISORY VOTE I prefer to see the construction of a new facility . . . .
