Tuesday, February 3, 1981
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on Tuesday, the 3rd day of February, 1981,
in Castle Rock School District No. 401, Cowlitz County, Washington, at the poll-
ing places listed below, there will be held a Special Levy Election as set forth
below:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of
Castle Rock School District No. 401, Cowlitz County, Washington:
THAT a Special School Election be held in the aforesaid school district
on the 3rd day of February, 1984 for the purpose of submitting to the electors of
said school district for their approval or rejection the following proposition:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
Excess Levy for General Fund Purposes
Shall Castle Rock School District No. 401, Cowlitz County,
Washington, authorize the County Commissioners of Cowlitz County
to levy in the year 1981 as part of the tax to be collected in
1982 the sum of $365,000.00 which will require approximately
$3.09 per each $1,000.00 of assessed valuation of the aforesaid
District, based upon an assessment ratio of 100% of true and
fair value, said tax levy to be in addition to the maximum levy
provided by law for such District, the proceeds thereof to be
placed in the General Fund and used for Maintenance and Operation.
Which shall be submitted to the electors of said School District for their
approval or rejection in the form of the following Ballot Title:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
Excess Levy for General Fund Purposes
Shall a Special Tax Levy of $365,000, an estimated
$3.09 per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation,
for 1981 -82 Castle Rock School District No. 401 Main-
tenance and Operation be approved?

The polls of said election will be and remain open from 7:00 o'clock
in the morning until 8:00 o'clock in the evening of said day, unless at the
time of closing there are any electors in any polling place desiring to vote,
and who are qualified to participate therein, and who have not been able to
do so since appearing at the polling place, in which event said polls shall
be kept open long enough after the hour of closing to allow those present at
that time to vote.

of Longview School District No. 122, Toutle Lake School District No. 130,
Castle Rock School District No. 401 and Kalama School District No. 402 in
Cowlitz County, State of Washington, will be closed for original registration
of voters and for transfers of registrations from one precinct to another
precinct within Cowlitz County, on the 3rd day of January, 1981, said day
being thirty (30) days prior to Tuesday, February 3, 1981, which is the date
set for the Special Elections for Longview School District No. 122, Toutle Lake
School District No. 130, Castle Rock School District No. 401 and Kalama School
District No. 402.
